Maryland Dorchester Cy.   Be it remembered that on this 30.th day
of September in the year of Our Lord one thousand Eight hundred &
forty five before the subscriber one of the state of Maryland Justices
of the Peace for Dorchester County personally appeared Sarah Rawleigh
the party named in the aforegoing mortgage or instrument
of writing and acknowledged the same to be her Act and deed &
delivered the same for the use and purposes therein mentioned
according to the true intent and meaning of the same and the act
of Assembly in such cases provided.   Acknowledged before
                                                                   Brannock Moore  J. P.


Eliza E. Hayward                       Be it Remembered that the following
          from               x.d             Bill of Sale was recorded on the
Alexander H Bayly and Wife      23.d day of October 1846. To wit
This Indenture made this twenty third day of October in the year of
our Lord Eighteen hundred and forty five by and between Alexander H
Bayly and Delia B. Bayly his wife of Dorchester County and State
of Maryland of the one part and Eliza E. Hayward wife of Doctor
William W Hayward of the other part.  Witnesseth that the Said
Alexander H Bayly and Delia B. Bayly for and in consideration of
the natural love and affection and also Gunther for the Sum of
five Dollars Current Money of Maryland to them in hand paid by
the Said Eliza E Hayward before the Execution of this Indenture
the receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged have given granted bargained
and Sold and by these presents do give grant bargain and Sell
unto the said Eliza E Hayward her ^heirs^ executors Administrators and Assigns
a certain Negro Girl Slave named Hannah the said Hannah
being daughter of of one Maria &c To Have and to Hold the said
Negro Girl Slave named Hannah above bargained and Sold
or intended so to be to the Said Eliza E Hayward her heirs Executors
Administrators and assigns forever.  In Witness whereof the said
Alexander H. Bayly and Delia B. Bayly have hereunto set their
hands and Seals the day and Year first above written
    Signed sealed and delivered               Alex.r H Bayly      (L)
    In the presence of                                  Delia B. Bayly   (L)
Rob.t Bell    W.m W LeCompte

State of Maryland Dorchester County to wit Be it Remembered
that on the twenty third day of October in the year of our Lord

the Subscribers two of the Justices of the peace in and for the
County and State aforesaid the within named Alexander H. Bayly
and Delia B. Bayly parties grantors in the within and foregoing
