these presents the receipt whereof I the said John Ellis do hereby acknowledge,
have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain
and sell unto the said Charles Andrew, his heirs, Executors, administrators or
Assigns the following property, Viz., Two Feather Beds and furniture, a sow
and four Shotes, four Bee hives, one pine Table, one pine Chest, Three flag
bottom chairs, two Iron pots, one Iron tea Kettle, two Washing Tubs, Set of
Carpinters and Turners Tools, one Grind Stone all now in my possession.
To have and to  hold the said described property above bargained & sold to
the said Andrews, his heirs, Executors, administrators or Assigns to his and
their proper use and benefit.  And I the said Ellis for myself, my heirs, executors
or Administrators sall and will warrant and defend by these presents
to the said Andrews, his heirs, executors, administrators or assigns the said
described property against me, my executors or Administrators and against
all and every person claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof.
In Witness I have hereunto affixed my seal and hand subscribed this first day
of October in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty five.
Signed, sealed & delivered in the presence of

                                               Dorchester County, To wit: on this first day of
October Eighteen hundred and forty five before me the subscriber one of the
Justices of the Peace for the State of Maryland and County aforesaid personally
appears John Ellis and acknowledges the above instrument of writing to be
his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof and
the Act of Assembly in such cases made & provided.  Acknowledged before

Ann Johnson      Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale was recorded
Ex.d  from          on the 2.d day of October 1845, To wit:
John Vincent       Know all men by these presents that John Vincent of Dorchester
                           County and state of Maryland for the consideration of Two
hundred and fifty dollars current money to me in hand paid by Ann
Johnson of the aforesaid County and state at and before the delivering of
these presents the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, have granted,
bargained and sold and delivered and by these presents do bargain, grant
and sell and deliver unto the said Ann Johnson, her executors, administrators
or assigns one Negro Man Peter Wilson aged about forty years
slave for life and all the personal property bought of Henry Page, Trustee
to make sale of the property morgaged by Charles Johnson to John Vincent as
in reference to s.d morgage will more fully appear which said property I
will warrant and defend to the said Ann Johnson, her executors, administrators
and assigns and against me, my executors, administrators and
against every person claiming in or through me.  In testimony or Witness
