for my self my heirs executors and administrators all and singular
the said goods house hold stuff and furniture and other the premises
unto the said Marcellus D Keene his executors administrators and
assigns against me the said Evans Gains my executors and
administrators and against all and every other person or
persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend
by these presents of all and singular which said goods
household stuff and furniture and other the premises I the
 said Evans Gains have put the said Marcellus D Keene in full
possession by delivering to him the said Marcellus D Keene
one pair Oysters Rakes at the sealing and delivering of these
presents, in the name of the whole premises hereby bargained
and sold or mentioned and intended to be so unto him the said
Marcellus D Keene aforesaid  In witness whereof I have
hereunto set my hand and seal this 31st day of December
in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and
forty two                                              his

and it is hereby certified that on this 31st day of Decr
in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and forty
two before the subscriber a justice of the peace of the state of Maryland
in and for Dorchester County aforesaid personally appears
Evan Gains he being Known to me to be the person who
is named and described as and posessing to be a party to the
aforegoing and within indenture or instrument of writing
and doth acknowledge the said indenture or instrument
of writing to be his act and deed  In testimony whereof
I have hereunto subscribed my name on the day and
year aforesaid   Acknowledged before;   Fielder Jones


Uriah Todd            Be it remembered that the following
Ex.d   from             Bill of Sale was recorded on 12 Jany
Thomas Tubman     anno domini 1843 to wit
Know all men by these presents that I Thomas Tubman
of Dorchester County in the state of maryland for and in
consideration of the sum of money Five dollars current
money to me in hand paid by Uriah Todd of Dorchester County
in the said State at and before the sealing and delivering of
these presents the receipt whereof I the said Thomas Tubman
do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and
and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and
sell unto the said Uriah Todd his executors administrators
