292. State of Maryland Be it remembered that the following Bond was from Ex.d recorded on the 28.th day of April 1845, To wit; William K. Acworth Know all men by these presents that we William K. Acworth, Hooper C. Hicks and Richardson Gambrel of Dorchester County and state of Maryland are held and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland in the full and just sum of two thousand dollars current money of the United States to be paid to the said state of Maryland or its certain Attorney to which payment well and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves our heirs, executors and administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our seals and dated this 28.th day of April A. D. 1845. The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bounden Acworth Hicks and Gambrel shall well and faithfully execute the Office of Constable in the Town of Vienna in Dorchester County in all things appertaining thereto and shall also well and truly account for all moneys placed in his hands for collection and shall well and truly pay all sums of Money received by him agreeably to an Act of the General Assembly passed at November Session 1809 entitled An Act relating to Constables Bonds and shall well and truly account for all money which he shall receive on Judgments and shall well and truly pay over the same and shall faithfully perform all acts which he shall perform in virtue of his office in the said County in the State of Maryland then the above obligation to be void else to remain in full force and virtue Signed sealed & delivered W.m K Acworth (seal) in the presence of Hooper C Hicks (seal) John Muir his Jn.o Newton Richardson x Gambrel (seal) mark Approved by the Commissioners April 28.th 1845 Test William Rea Clk C. D. C. I Robert Bell a Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland in and for Dorchester County do hereby Certify that John Newton and John Muir this day appeared before me and took the following Oath We John Newton & John Muir subscribing Witnesses to the within Bond do make Oath that the obligors mentioned in the said Bond did severally in our presence sign seal & deliver the said Bond as their Act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned Given under my hand this 28.th day of April 1845.
