of the Peace in and for the County aforesaid John Muir & Algernon
Thomas and made the following Oath, To wit:  We John Muir and
Algernon Thomas subscribing witnesses to the above Bond do make
Oath that Josiah Layton, William Mears and John T. Houston
obligors mentioned in the said Bond and severally in our presence sign,
seal and deliver the said Bond as their act and deed for the purposes
therein mentioned.  Sworn before me on the day above mentioned
approved by the Commissioners April 21 1845                  Robt Bell

    State               Be it remembered that the following Bond was recorded
    from   Ex.d      on the 22.d day of April 1845, To wit:
William R. Tall     Know all men by these presents that we W.m R. Tall, James
                            Smith and Henry Maguire of Dorchester County in the
State of Maryland are held and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland
in the full and just sum of two thousand dollars current money of the
United States to be paid unto the said State or it certain attorney to the
wich pament well and truly to be made and done we bind ourselves
our heirs executors and administrators jointly and severly firmly by these
presents sealed with our seals and dated this 21.st April 1845.
The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bounden
W.m R. Tall shall well and truly execute the office of Constable of Election
District number four in all things appertaining thereto and shall also well
and truly account for all monies placed in his hands for collection and
shall also well and truly pay all sums of Money received by him then
the above obligation to be void otherwise of full force and virtue in

Dorchester County, To wit:  On the 21.st April 1845 personally appeared
before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for the County
aforesaid John Muir and Algernon Thomas and made the following
Oath To wit Mr John Muir and Algernon Thomas subscribing
witnesses to the above Bond do make Oath that William R. Tall
James Smith and Henry Maguire obligors mentioned in the said Bond
as their act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned
