Dorchester County by virtue of a Supplement to the Act entitled an
additional supplement to an Act entitled an Act to regulate Ferries have
contracted with the said James Hutcheson, Jeremiah L. Pattison & John W.
Travers to keep the Ferry over Slaughter Creek from the maine to where
Henry Travers formerly lived and agree to allow the said James Hutcheson,
Jeremiah L. Pattison and John W. Travers the sum of Three hundred dollars
current money for the same      Now the Condition of the above
obligation is such that if the above named James Hutcheson, Jeremiah L.
Pattison and John W. Travers shall faithfully and diligently keep the said
Ferry over Slaughter Creek from the Main to where Henry Travers formerly
lived from day light to day light from the first of November
to the first of March and from one hour before to an hour after day
light for the residue of the year commencing from May the first 1845
and ending twelve months thereafter and shall keep constantly and in
good order a scow that will safely carry four passengers and their
Horses at one trip with two able bodied skilful hands to attend the said
Ferry and shall not charge or receive any greater price for Ferriage
than what is allowed by law then the above obligation to be void
otherwise of force.

   State                     Be it remembered that the following Bond was
    from   Ex.d           recorded on the 22.d day of April 1845, To wit:
Samuel Dunnock      Know all men by these presents that we Samuel
& others                   Dunnock, Levin T. Dunnock and Samuel R. Dunnock
                                of Dorchester County are held & firmly bound unto
the state of Maryland in the full and just sum of Three hundred dollars
current money of the United States to be paid to the said State or
its Certain Attorney, our heirs, executors and administrators in the whole
and for the whole jointly and severally firmly by these presents  Sealed with
our seals and dated this 21 day of April 1845.  Whereas the Commissioners
for Dorchester County by virtue of a supplement to the Act entitled "An additional
supplement to the Act entitled an Act to regulate Ferries" have
contracted with the said Samuel Dunnock to keep the Ferry over Fishing
Creek from Meekins' neck to Hooper's Island and agree to allow the said
Samuel Dunnock the sum of one hundred and forty dollars current
money for the same  Now the Condition of the above obligation is
such that if the above bounden Samuel Dunnock shall faithfully
and diligently keep the said Ferry over Fishing Creek from Meekins'
