Test Charles Corkran John Rudenstein (Seale) Dorchester County to wit: on this 11.th day of February 1845 personally appeared before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace for said County John D. Rudenstein and acknowledged the foregoing instrument of writing to be his act and deed. Charles Corkran Henry Willson & Know all men by these presents that I Thomas John R. Martin King Carroll for and in consideration of the Ex.d from sum of one thousand dollars to me in hand paid Thomas K. Carroll by Henry Willcox and John R. Martin have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain & sell unto the said Henry Willcox and John R. Martin the following Negroes Slaves for life named Fortune, Lucy, Anna Merita, George and Leah to have and to hold the said Negroes as above bargained and sold unto the said Henry Willcox and John R. Martin, their heirs, executors, administrators and assigns against me the said Thomas King Carroll, my heirs, executors and administrators and against all and every other person or persons shall and will warrant and defend. In testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal this 28.th day of January 1845 Test Henry J. Carroll Thomas King Carroll (seale) State of Maryland, Dorchester County, To wit: On this 28.th day of January 1845 before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for the county and state aforesaid personally appeared Thomas King Carroll and acknowledged the above Bill of Sale or instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof. Acknowledged before Charles Corkran Be it remembered that the above Bill of Sale was recorded on the 13.th day of February 1845. Isaac W. Lowe Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale was recorded Ex.d from on the 17.th day of February 1845, To wit: James R. McKeever Know all men by these presents that I James R. McKeever of Dorchester County and Town of Vienna in the State of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of Seventy five dollars current money to me in hand paid by Isaac W. Lowe of Dorchester County and state aforesaid at and before the sealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said Isaac W. Lowe, his executors, administrators and assigns two Beds, Bedsteads and furniture, one Mahogany |
