Witness whereof I have hereunto set my name and seal affixed this
seventh day of January 1845
signed, sealed & delivered in the presence of         Eben Stanley   (seal)
             James Rea

                                  State of Maryland, Dorchester County, To wit;
Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that on this seventh day of
January in the year 1845 before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace
of the state of Maryland in and for Dorchester County personally appears
Eben Stanley and acknowledges the within and foregoing instrument of
writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent, purport &
meaning thereof and according to the Acts of Assembly in such case
made and provided.      Acknowledged before               James Rea


Noah Pinder      Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale was
Ex.d  from          recorded on the 25.th day of January 1845, To wit:
Eben Stanley      Know all men by these presents that I Eben Stanley of
                          Dorchester County in the state of Maryland for and in
consideration of the sum of Fifteen dollars current money to me in hand
paid by Noah Pinder of the County and State aforesaid at and before the
sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof I the said Eben
Stanley do hereby acknowledge, have granted, bargained and sold and
by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said Noah Pinder,
his executors, administrators and assigns all the goods hereinafter particularly
mentioned that is to say one large brown Horse, Toms, which
said Horse is now in my possession.  To have and to hold the said
Horse above bargained and sold or mentioned and intended so to be to
the said Noah Pinder, his executors, administrators and assigns forever
And I the said Eben Stanley, for myself, my heirs, executors and administrators
all and singular the said Horse and other the premises unto the
said Noah Pinder, his executors, administrators and assigns against me
the said Eben Stanley, my executors and administrators and against
all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant
and forever defend by these presents.  In Witness whereof I have hereunto
set my name and seal affixed this seventh day of January Anno Domini
1845.      Signed, sealed & delivered                  Eben Stanley
in the presence of James Rea
