240. Sold released and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain and Sell Release and confirm unto the said John D. Parker his heirs and assigns a yoke of oxen of the following description one is black with white back 4 years old that Spring and the other Red with a white Back four years old next Spring also one ox Cart" To Have and to Hold the said yoke of oxen and Cart to the said John D. Parker his heirs and assigns forever to his and their own uses and behoof. Provided always and it is the true intent and meaning of these presents and of the said parties hereunto that if the said Solomon Messick or his heirs or assigns do and shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said John D. Parker or his heirs or assigns the full Amount of the foregoing named Judgment Interest and Costs by the time allowed by the Conditions of the said Judgment without any deduction or abatement then and from thenceforth these presents and every matter and thing therein contained shall cease and be utterly null and Void any thing therein to the contrary notwithstanding in Witness whereof I hereunto Subscribe my hand and Seal this 20.th day of September 1844 Witness William T. Staplefort Solomon Messick (Seal) State of Maryland Dorchester County To wit Be it Remembered that on this 20.th day of September 1844 personally appeared before me the Subscriber a Justice of the peace for the County and State aforesaid Solomon Messick party to the foregoing Mortgage and Acknowledged the same to be his Act and deed for the purposes therein named Acknowledged before W.m S. Staplefort Rhoda Macer Be it Remembered that the following probate was recorded The ages of her Fee p.d on the first day of October Anno Domini 1844. To wit Ex.d Children Dorchester County To wit Be it Remembered that on this first day of October in the Year of our Lord eighteen hundred and forty four personally appeared before me the Subscriber one of the Justices of the peace in and for the County aforesaid Rhoda Macer and made oath on the holy Evangely of Almighty God that Shesie the Mother of four Daughters and that they were born free and their names and ages are as follows to wit Sally Ann Macer aged 24 years on the 6.th day of January 1844 Matilda Macer aged 19 years the 10.th day of September last Elizabeth Macer aged 17 Years the 8.th day of September 1844 and Rachel Macer aged 14 years on the 10.th day of November next Sworn before Charles Corkran Hooper Rauleigh Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale was Ex.d from recorded on the 28.th day of October 1844. To wit: Peter Carroll Know all men by these presents that Peter Carroll of Dorchester County and state of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred and sixty two dollars and 80 cts current money to me in hand |
