Maryland, Dorchester County To wit:   On this 8.th day of June
eighteen hundred and forty four before me one of the Justices of the Peace
in and for said County appears George Dennis and Cassa Dennis and
acknowledge the foregoing writing to be their act and deed according to
the true intent and meaning thereof and the act of assembly in such
case made and provided                                William Newton   (Seal)


State of Maryland      Be it remembered that the following Bond was
      from      Ex.d       recorded on the 10.th day of June 1844, To wit:
William B. Dail          Know all men by these presents that we William B.
                                 Dail, Thomas Dail, John R. Keene, William G.
LeCompte, Joseph Bradshaw of Dorchester County in the state of Maryland
are held and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland in the full and
just sum of Thirty three thousand eight hundred and seven dollars and
sixty two cents current money of the United States to be paid to the said state
or its certain Attorney to the which payment well and truly to be made &
done we bind ourselves and each of us our and each of our heirs, executors
and administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents.  Sealed
with our seals and dated this tenth day of June in the year of our Lord
eighteen hundred and forty four.
The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound William
B. Dail appointed Collector of Dorchester County shall well and faithfully execute
his office and the several duties required of him by law and shall well & truly
account for and pay to the Commissioners for Dorchester County or to their order
the several sums of money which he shall receive or be answerable for by law
at such time as the law shall direct; then the above obligation to be void
or else to be and remain in full force and virtue in law

Dorchester County To wit:

hundred and forty four personally appeared John Newton, John Muir subscribing
witnesses to the above Bond before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the
Peace of the state of Maryland for Dorchester County aforesaid and personally made
Oath on the Holy Evangely of Almighty God that they did see William B. Dail,
Thomas Dail, John R. Keene, William G. LeCompte & Joseph Bradshaw obligors
in the said Bond sign, seal and deliver the said Bond as their respective act
and deed and that they the said John Newton and John Muir did subscribe their names
as witnesses thereto.   Sworn before                                 Algernon Thomas
