whereof I have hereunto set my name on the day and year aforesaid
                                                    Taken and Acknowledged before         Charles Corkran


John W. Dean      Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale was
       from    Ex.d   recorded on the 8.th day of March 1844, To wit:
Charles Edwards  Know all men by these presents that I Charles Edwards
                            of Dorchester County State of Maryland for and in consideration
of the sum of sixteen dollars to me in hand paid by John
W. Dean of the County and state aforesaid have bargained, granted
and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain and sell unto the said
John W. Dean his heirs and Assigns forever one ox Cart one hand Mill
one Canoe.  To have and to hold the above mentioned property which
said property i purchased of Thomas Shapes unto him the said John
W. Dean his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns to the only proper
use, benefit and behoof of the said John W. Dean his heirs and assigns
forever.  As Witness my hand and seal this 26.th day of February 1844.

       James Smith

Maryland, Dorchester County, To wit:  on this 26.th day of February 1844
personally appeared Charles Edwards before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace
in and for said County and acknowledged the above bill of sale to be his act
and deed according to the true intent and meaning of the same
                   Acknowledged before                                    James Smith


State of Maryland          Be it remembered that the following resignation and
Ex.d  from Alphabeted   Bond was recorded on the 9.th day of March 1844, To wit:
Henry H Edmondson      To any two Justices of the Peace in and for Dorchester
                                      County  Being appointed Teacher of the Great Choptank
Primary School which renders it out of my power to act as Constable in Election
district N.o 2.  I therefore resign the said office and recommend M.r Henry H.
Edmondson to be appointed in my stead.  Witness my hand and seal this 9.th
March 1844.                                                                  John H. Willougby   (Seal)

We the subscribers two of the Justices of the Peace in and for Dorchester County by
virtue of a supplement to the act entitled an Act for the establishment and regulation
of the Levy Courts in the several Counties of this state have appointed
M.r Henry H. Edmondson Constable of Election district N.o 2 in the place of M.r
John W. Willoughby who has resigned  Witness our hands and seals this
