170. Peter Wheeler Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale was recorded in the from Ex.d 21.st day of November 1843, to wit: John H. Carroll Know all men by these presents that I John H. Carroll of Dorchester County in the state of maryland for and in consideration of the sum of ninety dollars to me in hand paid by Peter Wheeler of the same County and state aforesaid at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof I the said John H. Carroll do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Peter Wheeler his heirs executors administrators and assigns all the crop of wheat now seeded and which I have to seed (this fall) to have and to hold all and singular the said Crop of wheat on the premises as above bargained and sold or mentioned and intended so to be to the said Peter Wheeler his executors administrators and assigns forever And I the said John H. Carroll for myself my heirs executors and administrators all and singular the said crop of wheat have sold unto the said Peter Wheeler his executors administrators and assigns against me the said John H. Carroll my executors and administrators and against all and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents of all and singular which said crop of wheat I the said John H. Carroll have put the said Peter Wheeler in possession by delivering unto him the same as now is seeded and about so to be at the sealing and delivering of these presents in the name of the whole premises hereby bargained and sold or mentioned or intended to be so to be unto the said Peter Wheeler as aforesaid In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 16.th day of November in the year of Our Lord eighteen hundred and forty three John H. Carroll (Seal) State of Maryland Dorchester County To wit: on this 16.th day of November in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and forty three before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for the said County and state aforesaid personally appeared John H. Carroll and acknowledged the above Bill of Sale or instrument of writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent and meaning thereof. Acknowledged before John A. L. Radcliff Delivered Jany 15 1843 to P. Wheeler Peregrine Spencer Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale was recorded in from Ex.d the 4.th day of December 1843. To wit: James Kennedy Know all men by these presents that I James Kenedy of Dorchester County State of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of Seventy dollars to me in hand paid by Peregrine Spencer of Baltimore have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain & sell unto the aforesaid Peregrine Spencer his heirs and assigns forever the Yoke of Oxen (one red steer and the other black with white face) and one red cow. To have and to hold the above mentioned property unto the said Peregrine Spencer his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and benefit and behoof of the said Peregrine Spencer his heirs and Assigns forever Witness my hand & seal this twenty ninth day of November Eighteen hundred and forty three his signed sealed & delivered in the presence of James x Kenedy (Seal) James Smith Thomas D.
