all the goods and chattels contained in the schedule hereunto annexed, that is to say,
three fifths of the Corn raised on the Farm where I now reside (except thirty Barrels
sold to James Thompson) together with all my interests in the Blade fodder and
top fodder one stack straw all the Corn Caps, ten fatted Hogs, three Sows,
seven pigs, nine shotes, six head sheep, one yoke oxen, one Bay Horse "Chester",
one Ox Cart, three Beds, Bedsteads and furniture, three Tables, Six Chairs,
one Desk, two Cows, three calves, one old carriage  all and singular
which said goods and chattels are now remaining and being (except the Bay
Horse "Chester" which is now present) in a certain Messuage or tenement situate
in the County and state aforesaid and now in the occupancy of the said William
W. Davis and where he has rented for next year.  To have and to hold all
and singular the said goods and chattels and the premises above bargained
and sold or mentioned or intended so to be to the said W. V. M. Edmondson
his executors administrators and assigns forever.  And I the said William W.
Davis, for myself, my heirs and administrators all and singular the said goods
and chattels and other the premises unto the said W. V. M. Edmondson his
executors, administrators and assigns against me the said William W. Davis
my executors and administrators and against all and every other person or
persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents;
of all and singular which said goods and chattels and other the premises I the
said William W. Davis have put the said W. V. M. Edmondson in full possession
by delivering to him the said W. V. M. Edmondson the Bay Horse "Chester" at the
sealing and delivery of these presents in the name of the whole property and
premises hereby bargained and sold or mentioned or intended so to be unto the
said W. V. M. Edmondson as aforesaid.  In Witness whereof the said William
W. Davis hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal this ninth day
of November in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty

Be it remembered that on this ninth day of November in the year of Our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and forty three personally appeared William W. Davis the party Grantor
within named before me the subscriber a Justice of the Peace in and for the aforesaid
County and state (I being perfectly satisfied the he is the identical individual therein
refereed to as grantor) and acknowledges the within bill of sale or instrument of writing
to be his act and deed and the property and other the premises therein mentioned and
thereby bargained and sold to be the right and estate of the within named W. V.
M. Edmondson party Grantee also therein named his heirs and assigns forever
according the the purport true intent and meaning of the said Bill of Sale or
instrument of writing and the acts of assembly in such case made and provided
Taken and Certified the day and year first above written before
