17 and state aforesaid at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof I the said John Vickers doth hereby acknowledge and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Travers B Tolly all of the following property to wit one yoke of oxen one Cow and one yearling three head of hogs one stack of fodder one Bed and Bedstead. To have and to hold all of said property unto the said Travers B Tolley his heirs and assigns forever and Clear of all incumberances from me the said John Vickers my Heirs and assigns forever or any other person Claiming the same either at Sale or Equity in witness whereof the said John Vickers have hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the Twenty forth day of Decr the year Eighteen hundred and forty two Signed sealed and his delivered in pressence of John + Vickers (seal) Richard Tall mark Maryland Dorchester County to wit Be it remembered and it is hereby certified that on this Twenty Forth day Decr in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and forty two before me the subscriber a Justice of the peace in and for the said county personally appeared John Vickers party Granted to the within bill of sale or instrument of writing and acknowledge the same to be his act and deed and the property therein bargained and sold to be the right and estate of the within Traverse B Tolley according to the true intent and meaning of the same and the act of assembly in such Cases made and provided Taken and Acknowledged before Richard Tall Stapleford & Crawford Be it remembered that the following bill Ex.d from of sale was recorded on 5 Jany anno domini John Ratcliff 1843 to wit This Indenture made this fourth day of January one thousand Eight hundred and forty three between John Radcliff of Dorchester County and state of Maryland of the one part and Stapleford & Crawford of church creek of the County and state aforesaid of the other part whereas the said John Radcliff has note bearing date first day of January one thousand Eight hundred and forty three stands bound unto the said Stapleford and Crawford their heirs and assigns in the sum of one hundred and Eight dollars current money with |
