160 & assigns against me the said William S Byns my heirs executors & administrators, and against all and every other person or persons shall and will warrant and defend Provided always and it is the true intent and meaning of these presents and of the said parties hereunto that if the said William S Byns his heirs executors or administrators do and shall want well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said William Rea administrator of Henry Page the sum of Eight Hundred dollars current money with legal interest thereon from the date hereof on or before the first day of November next ensuing the date hereof without any deduction or abatement whatsoever then and from thence shall secure forth these presents and every matter and thing therein contained shall cease and be utterly null and void any thing therein ^to the^ contrary thereof in anywise notwistanding. In witness whereof the said William S Byns hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal this fourth day of October Eighteen hundred and forty three Signed sealed and delivered in the presence of William S Byns (seal) James Rea State of Maryland On the fourth day of October 1843 then came before Dorchester County to wit me a Justice of the peace in and for said County William S Byns and acknowledged the within mortgage bill sale to be his act and deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned according to the acts of assembly in such cases made and provided. Acknowledged before James Rea Elijah Coulburn Be it remembered that the following Bill of Sale was recorded Paid from Ex.d on the 19.th day of October 1843. To wit Thomas Colburn Know all men by these presents that I Thomas Coulborn of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland, for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars current money to me in hand paid by Elijah Colborn of County and State aforesaid at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof I the said Thomas Coulborn as hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Elijah Coulborn his executors administrators and assigns all the goods hereinafter particularly mentioned expressed and contained that is to say one Crop of Corn on the ground fourteen Stacks of Fodder, 1 Bay Horse 12 years old, 1 Bay Do 4 years old, one red & which cow, 3 Hogs, all and singular which said goods an chattels are now remaining in the occupation of the said Thomas Coulborn. To have and to hold all and singular the said goods and other the premises above bargained and sold or mentioned and intended so to be to the said Elijah Coulborn his executors administrators and assigns forever and I the said Thomas Coulborn for myself my heirs executors and administrators all and singular the said goods and other the premises unto the said Elijah Coulborn his executors administrators and assigns against me the said |
