John A Scott                  Be it Remembered that the following Bill of Sale was
     from     Ex.d              records on the 25 day of September 1843.  To wit
William W. LeCompte   Know all men by these presents that I William Lecompte of Dorchester
County in the State of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of seven hundred
dollars Current Money to me in hand paid by John A Scott of the county and State aforesaid,
at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof I the said William
W Lecompte do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these
presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said John A Scott his Executors Administrators
and assigns the following Negroes Slaves to wit that is to say one negroe Rebbeca
aged about fifty years ^one Negro Harriet aged about fifty years^ one negro woman Mahala aged about thirty years, one girl Elizabeth
aged ten years one girl Ann Maria aged five years one girl Evelene aged about four years
one boy Noah aged about three years one boy charles aged about one year To have
and To hold the said Negroe Slaves named Rebecca, Harriet, Mahala, Elizabeth,
Ann Maria, Evelene, Noah and charles above bargained and sold or mentioned and
intended so to be to the said John A Scott his executors administrators and assigns forever
and I the said William W Lecompte for my Self my heirs executors and administrators
all and singular the said negroes Rebecca, Harriet, Mahala, Elizabeth, Ann
Maria, Evelene, Noah, and charles slaves unto the said John A Scott his
Executors administrators and assigns against me the said William W Lecompte
my executors and administrators and against all and every other person or persons
whatsoever Shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents In witness,
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty fifth day
of september in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and forty three

Maryland Dorchester County to wit   on this twenty fifth day of September
in the year of Our Lord Eighteen hundred & forty three before me one of the Justices
of the peace in and for said County appears William W Lecompte and acknowledges,
the foregoing writing to be his act and deed according to the true intent
and meaning thereof and the acts of Assembly in such case made and provided

William Rea Admor      Be it Remembered that the following Mortgage Bill of
of Henry Page               Sale was recorded on the 6th day of October
          from                   Anno Domini 1843  To wit
John Bunting                 Maryland Sct  Know all men by these presents That I
John Bunting of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland for and in consideration
of a large claim owing by me to Henry Page deceased and in further consideration
of the sum of one Dollar current money to me in hand paid by William
Rea administrator of Henry Page deceased I have bargained and Sold and by
these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said William Rea Administrator
as aforesaid all the Crop of Corn Blades & Tops to which I have any
