Greenberry Kilmon hath hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this
sixteenth day of August in the year of Our Lord eighteen hundred and forty
three

State of Maryland, Dorchester County To Wit:  Be it remembered and it
is hereby certified that on this Sixteenth day of August in the year of Our
Lord eighteen hundred and forty three before me the subscriber a Justice of
the Peace in and for said County and state personally appears the above
named Greenberry Kilmon, who acknowledges the foregoing instrument of
writing or Bill of Sale to be his act and deed and the property therein bargained
and sold to be the right and estate of the above named Levin
W. Tall his heirs and assigns forever according to the true intent &
meaning of the same and the Acts of Assembly in such case made and
provided.  Taken acknowledged before            John G. Abbott.



Samuel Dunnock      Be it Remembered that the following Bill of Sale was recorded
Ex.d   from               on the 4th day of September Anno Domini 1843 To wit
Shadrack Gootee     Know all men by these presents that I Shadrack Gootee
for and in consideration of the Sum of three hundred dollars to me in hand paid
by Samuel Dunnock of Dorchester County have granted bargained and Sold and
by these presents do grant bargain and Sell unto the said Samuel Dunnock
of said County one negro boy named Samuel as above bargained and Sold
slave for life and sound in body and mind  To Have and to Hold the
said negro Samuel as above bargained and Sold unto the said Samuel Dunnock
his heirs executors administrators and assigns against me the said Shadrack
Gootee and my heirs executors and Administrators and against all and every
other person or persons shall and will warrant and defend  In Testimony
whereof I have hereto set my hand and affixed my Seal this Fourth day of
September 1843                                                                 his

1843 before me the Subscriber a Justice of the peace in and for said
County and State personally appeared Shadrack Gootee and Acknowledged
