135 Solomon Robinson Be it remembered that the following mortgage Bill of sale Ex.d from was recorded 13th June 1843 to wit This Indenture Henry Willen made this 9th of June 1843 between Henry Willen of Dorchester County & Solomon Robinson of same County & State of the other Whereas the said Willen has been accused of violating the penal Code of the state & has been commited to goal for the want of security & whereas the said Solomon Robinson has consented to enter as security for the said Willen for his appearance at Court in the sum of fifty dollars and also has become security for the said Willen in a debt He the said Willen owes to Jas A Stewart in the sum of Twenty dollars upon the said Willen giving to said Robinson a Mortgage Bill of sale to indemnify him the said Robinson in case he has any thing to pay on account of said securityship & whereas the said Willen by way of Countersecuring the said Robinson as aforesaid has agreed to execute these presents Now this Indenture witness that the said Henry Willen for & in consideration of the premises & also the sum of one dollar to him in hand paid by the said Robinson has given granted bargained & sold & by these presents does give grant bargain & sell unto the sid Solomon Robinson the following property to wit Two yokes of stears & milch cows one young heifer seventeen head of hogs seven head of sheep & all his the said Willens house hold & Kitchen furniture To have & to hold the said property to the said Solomon Robinson & his heirs ad.ms & assigns with the understanding that if the said Solomon Robinson is saved harmless by reason of the said securityship & the said Henry Willen shall pay to the said James A Stewart the said sum of Twenty dollars on or before the 1st of November next & then save harmeless the said Solomon Robinson security to the said James A Stewart as aforesaid then this Bill of sale to be void else of full force & virtue in law Witness my hand & seal this day his Test Henry + Willen (seal) Charles Corkran mark State of Maryland Dorchester County to wit On this 9th June 1843 appeared before me the subscriber a justice of the peace for said sate & county Henry Willen & acknowledged the foregoing instrument to be his act & deed Charles Corkran Joseph Nicols Be it remembered that the following Bill of Ex.d from sale was recorded ^June^ 19th 1843 to wit Know all William Howeth men by these presents that I William Howeth of Dorchester County in the state of Maryland for and in consideration of the sum of seven Hundred and fifty Dollars current money to me in hand paid by Joseph Nicols of the same county and state at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents the receipt whereof I the said William Howeth do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained |
