who acknowledge the Foregoing Bill of sale or instrument of writing to be His
act and deed according to the acts of assembly in such case made and provided

Caroline S Brown      Be it remembered that the following Bill of sale was recorded
Ex.d      from              12th June 1843 to wit      Know all men by these Presents
Moses Dillehay           that I Moses Dilehay of Dorchester County and state of
maryland for and in consideration of the sum of four Hundred and fifty Dollars
current money To me in hand paid by Caroline L Brown of the County and state
aforesaid at and before the sealing and Delivery Hereof the receipt whereof I do
hereby acknowledge have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do
grant bargain and sell unto the said Caroline L Brown her Executors administrators
and assigns two yoke of oxen two horses one colt one ox cart two Cows &
two calves two beds bedsteads & furniture two plows & Geer six cheers two tobbs
one pr and iron one carpet and all the balance of my house hold & Citchen
furniture one crop of wheat one crop of corn one cow & ten shoats all which
Property is now in my possesion  To have and to hold the same Discribed
property above Bargained and sold  To the said Caroline L Brown her executors
Administrators and assigns forever to her and their only proper use and
benifit and I the said Moses Dilehay for myself my executors and Administrators
shall and will warrant and forever Defend by these presents to the said
Caroline L Brown her executors administrators and assigns the said Described
Property against me my executors and administrators and against all and
every other Person or Persons whomsoever Claiming the same or any part thereof
In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this
12 Day of June 1843                                       his

in Presence of
    John G Abbott J.P.

State of Maryland Dorchester County to wit   On this 12 day of June 1843
before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the peace in and for said County
appears Moses Dilahay and acknowledges the four going writing to be his
act and deed according to the True intent and meaning thereof and the
act of Assembly in such case made and Provided
