In subsections (a) and (b)(1) of this section, the references to "effective" dates
are substituted for the former references to "approval" dates for accuracy. See
§ 31-201(b) of this subtitle.

In subsection (b)(1)(i) of this section, the general term "assets" is substituted
for former reference to "cash and securities" for clarity. A local pension
system of a participating governmental unit may have other kinds of assets.

Also in subsection (b)(1)(ii) of this section, the references to "the relative
shares of the members" are deleted as included in the reference to the
"accumulated contributions of the members".
