Laws of Montgomery County, 1993

AN ACT to:

(1)     authorize creation of urban district corporations within an urban district in
accordance with certain procedures to operate as a commercial district
management authority;

(2)     provide for the organization, jurisdiction, purposes, and membership of an
urban district corporation, including the adoption of certain by laws;

(3)     authorize an urban district corporation to exercise certain powers subject to
certain limitations;

(4)     provide for the termination of an urban district advisory committee upon the
creation of an urban district corporation;

(5)     provide for the appointment, confirmation, and term of the board of directors
of an urban district corporation;

(6)     specify the applicability of certain County laws and policies to an urban
district corporation and the corporation's relationship to the County;

(7)     provide certain budget submission, review, and action and for the use of
certain funds by an urban district corporation;

(8)     provide for certain reports, an annual audit, and a certain evaluation;

(9)     provide for the termination and dissolution of an urban district corporation;
and

(10)   generally amend the Urban District Law to provide for urban district
corporations.
