An Act to repeal and re-enact Subtitle 1, "Compensation Review Commission", to Title
5 "County Council", of the Howard County Code, for the purpose of establishing a
compensation review commission, pursuant to Article 25A, Section 5(AA) of the
Annotated Code of Maryland and Section 202(d) of the Howard County Charter.

An Act amending Paragraph (2) "Eligibility" of Subsection (c) "Merit Increase" of
Section 1.116 "Pay Plan" of Subtitle 1 "Personnel" of Title 1 "Personnel Administration"
of the Howard County Code in order to include days of leave granted to employees called
for jury duty or involuntarily required to engage in military exercises as a member of the
United States Reserves or National Guard as work days in determining whether an
employee has worked the requisite number of days to be eligible for a merit increase and
providing for a one time lump sum merit increase adjustment for employees who met
these requirements on or after January 1, 1992 and are employed by Howard County on
the effective date of this Act.

An Act amending Subtitle 1 "Personnel" of Title 1 "Personnel Administration" of the
Howard County Code to provide for a 1-step merit increase for employees in Fiscal 1994,
and making this Act effective July 1, 1993.

An Act amending the pay plan for employees by authorizing call-in pay for dispatchers,
by specifying the hours of work and overtime for Fire Captains and to establish the
minimum and maximum pay for Fire Captains, and declaring this Act to be effective July
1, 1993.
[Amending §§ 1.116(g), 1.118(2), 1.118(4), and 1.300 of the Howard County Code.
