Central Services from the Department of County Administration to the Department of
General Services.
[Amending §§ 6-201, 6-401 and 25-101 of the Howard County Code
Repealing § 6-403 of the Howard County Code.

An Act repealing and re-enacting Section 17.102 "Fire Districts Established" and 17.103
"Payments to Volunteer Fire Companies" and enacting now Sections 17.102 and 17.103
which establish a Fire and Rescue District Tax; establish 2 Fire and Rescue Tax Districts
in the County; and provide for the County's funding of the volunteer fire corporations
repealing Section 17.102 "Fire Districts Established" of the Howard County Code and
enacting new Section 17.102 "Fire and Rescue Tax" to establish 2 fire and rescue tax
districts in Howard County; amending Section 17.103 "Payments to volunteer fire
companies" to delete references to fire companies, add references to fire corporations
and to add a list of the volunteer fire corporations in Howard County.

An Act amending Section 1.402 "Length of service award program for volunteer
firefighting/EMS personnel" of the Howard County Code to provide that the program is
funded through the fire and rescue district taxes and to update terminology.

AN ACT amending the Howard County Code to establish the Cemetery Preservation
Advisory Board and to provide for the preservation of cemeteries and burial grounds in
Howard County.
[Adding §§ 6.336, 16.102(h), and 16.1300 through 16.1309, inclusive, to the Howard
County Code.
Amending §§ 16.103(c), 6.118(b)(6), 16.145(c)(12), 16.146(c)(8), 16.147(c)(18) and
16.157(b)(17) of the Howard County Code.
