AN ORDINANCE concerning:

Solid Waste Charges

FOR the purpose of establishing certain charges and requirements for the disposal of
certain solid wastes at sanitary landfills and other facilities that are owned or
operated by the County; providing for the applicability and computation of such
charges; prohibiting the disposal of certain solid wastes; providing that the Director
of Public Works may accept certain solid wastes under certain circumstances;
establishing a service charge for the removal of certain wastes from households and
commercial units; and generally relating to charges for solid waste services.

FOR the purpose of establishing a Solid Waste Financial Assurance Fund to meet certain
requirements of federal law regarding financial assurance for certain
landfill-related expenses; authorizing certain interfund borrowing by the Solid
Waste Financial Assurance Fund from the Water and Wastewater Utility Sinking
Fund; providing for the repayment of funds borrowed from the Water and
Wastewater Utility Sinking Fund; and generally relating to the Solid Waste
Financial Assurance Fund.
