AN ORDINANCE concerning:

Environmental Health - Smoking in Public Places

FOR the purpose of prohibiting smoking in certain areas; defining certain terms;
specifying exceptions; providing for designated smoking areas in shopping malls
under certain conditions; permitting a facility not covered by the provisions of this
Ordinance to elect to be so covered; requiring the posting of certain signs; and
providing a penalty for violations.

Article 14, §§ 8-101 through 8-408 8-109 to be under the new title, "Title 8.
Smoking in Public Places"

Personnel - Holiday Leave

FOR the purpose of reducing the number of holidays for which employees in the
classified service are entitled to holiday leave; providing for County government to
maintain operations on certain holidays; providing for certain employees who are
required to work certain holidays to receive leave with pay on alternative workdays;
reducing the number of additional days of annual leave instead of holidays to which
uniformed officers are entitled; and generally relating to holiday leave for County
employees.
