21-106. SAME — QUORUM; MEETINGS; EXPENSES.

(A)     VOTING.

EACH TRUSTEE IS ENTITLED TO ONE VOTE ON THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES.

(B)      QUORUM.

A MAJORITY OF THE TRUSTEES THEN SERVING ON THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES IS
A QUORUM FOR:

(1)      THE TRANSACTION OF ANY BUSINESS;

(2)      THE EXERCISE OF ANY POWER; OR

(3)      THE PERFORMANCE OF ANY DUTY AUTHORIZED OR IMPOSED BY

LAW.

(C)      MEETINGS.

THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES SHALL SET THE TIMES AND PLACES OF ITS
MEETINGS.

(D)     REIMBURSEMENT FOR EXPENSES.
A TRUSTEE:

(1)      MAY NOT RECEIVE COMPENSATION FROM THE SEVERAL SYSTEMS
FOR SERVICE AS A TRUSTEE; BUT

(2)      IS ENTITLED TO REIMBURSEMENT FOR EXPENSES UNDER THE
STANDARD STATE TRAVEL REGULATIONS, AS PROVIDED IN THE STATE BUDGET.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsections (a) and (b) of this section are new language
derived without substantive change from former Art. 73B, § 1-103(f).

Subsection (c) of this section is standard language added for clarity.

Subsection (d) of this section is new language derived without substantive
change from former Art. 73B, § 1-103(d).

In subsection (b) of this section, the reference to the "trustees then serving" is
standard language added for clarity.

In subsection (d)(1) of this section, the reference to compensation paid to a
trustee "from the several systems for service as a trustee" is added to clarify
that the prohibition on a trustee receiving compensation only applies for
services the trustee renders as a trustee of the Board of Trustees for the
several systems and not to the trustee's right to receive compensation for
services the trustee renders in another capacity.
