(ii) Is consistent with the Interagency Committee plan for providing
coordinated health services, social services, transportation, housing, and employment
services to elderly persons in this State.

(c) In the event the members of the Interagency Committee should fail to agree
on a plan for services to elderly persons, the chairman of the .Committee shall refer the
matter to the Governor for resolution.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 1994.

AN ACT concerning

Maryland-Washington Regional District - Boundaries

PG/MC 39-94

FOR the purpose of modifying the boundaries of the Maryland-Washington Regional
District to exclude the City of Laurel as its boundaries are defined as of a specified
date or as modified on any subsequent date.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 28 - Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission

Section 7-103

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 28 - Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission

7-103.

(a)     The entire area of Montgomery County is within the regional district, subject
to the provisions of § 7-105 of this title.

(b)     The entire area of Prince George's County is within the regional district, with
the exception [, however,] of the City of Laurel, as its corporate boundaries are defined
as of July 1, [1978] 1994, OR AS MODIFIED ON ANY SUBSEQUENT DATE. A municipal
corporation within the areas added by this subsection to the Maryland-Washington
Regional District is not authorized, by means of an amendment to its charter or
otherwise, to exercise any of the powers relating to planning, subdivision control, or
zoning granted by the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission or the
