SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Education

16-502.

The Board of Community College Trustees for Baltimore County consists of 11
members appointed by the Governor, with the advice and consent of the Senate. Of the
members:

(1)     4 serve at large; and

(2)      7 serve from the 7 legislative districts—[located wholly within the
boundaries of] IN WHICH THE MAJORITY OF THE POPULATION RESIDE WITHIN
COUNCILMANIC DISTRICTS IN Baltimore County, 1 from each district.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the appointments to the Board
of Community College Trustees for Baltimore County made on or after October 1, 1994 shall
be made in accordance with the following guidelines:

(1)      the appointee who replaces the member who was appointed from legislative district

6  shall reside in councilmanic district 5;

(2)      the appointee who replaces the member who was appointed from legislative district

7 shall reside in councilmanic district 7;

(3)      the appointee who replaces the member who was appointed from legislative district

8 shall reside in councilmanic district 6;

(4)      the appointee who replaces the member who was appointed from legislative district

9 shall reside in councilmanic district 4;

(5)      the appointee who replaces the member who was appointed from legislative district
10 shall reside in councilmanic district 3;

(6)      the appointee who replaces the member who was appointed from legislative district

11 shall reside in councilmanic district 2; and

(7)      the appointee who replaces the member who was appointed from legislative district

12 shall reside in councilmanic district 1.

SECTION 2. 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect October 1, 1994.
