Article - Education

[3-802.1.                 

(a)     In addition to and independent of any grounds specified in Section
3-802(c)(3) of this article, an elected County Board member, as defined in Section
3-802(a) of this article, shall forfeit his office if he becomes a candidate for another
office.

(b)     A certificate of candidacy for another office may not be accepted by the
Election Board unless accompanied by a notice from the presiding officer of the County
Board that the member has submitted his resignation from the Board.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is an emergency
measure, is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health and safety, has
been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of all the members elected to
each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, and shall take effect from the date it is
enacted.

AN ACT concerning

Caroline County - Alcoholic Beverages
(Penalties)

FOR the purpose of providing in Caroline County that the Board of License

           Commissioners may impose a certain fine or suspend an alcoholic beverages license,

or both, for certain violations; specifying the nature of the penalties; directing that

a certain renumbering or relettering occur; and generally relating to alcoholic

beverages in Caroline County.
