1993 LAWS OF MARYLAND

Director shall operate and exercise the powers of the Administration under the direction
of the Secretary in accordance with the provisions of this subtitle. The Director shall
receive such salary and have such deputies, assistants, employees, and professional
consultants as provided in the State budget.

Article - Family Law

10-117.

(c)     Any personnel of the local support enforcement office involved in a transfer
under this section shall become classified SERVICE employees of this State [subject to
the provisions of the State Merit System Law] and shall be placed in the position that is
comparable to or most closely compares to their former position, without further
examination or qualification. These employees shall be credited with the years of service
with the jurisdiction for the purpose of determining leave accumulation and shall become
members of the State Employees' Pension System. All previous pension contributions
shall be transferred in accordance with Article 73B of the Code. These employees shall
receive no diminution in compensation or accumulated leave solely as a result of the
transfer. Annual leave in excess of that which may be retained annually in the State Merit
PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT System may be retained at the time of transfer if that
accumulation was permitted by the former employer.

Article - Financial Institutions

8-305.

(A)     With the approval of the Secretary, the Division Director may appoint the
staff provided in the State budget.

(B)     Except [for the deputy director] AS PROVIDED IN SUBSECTION (C) OF THIS
SECTION OR OTHERWISE BY LAW, the Division Director shall appoint and remove all
personnel in accordance with THE PROVISIONS OF the State [merit system Law]
PERSONNEL ARTICLE THAT GOVERN CLASSIFIED SERVICE EMPLOYEES.

(C)     THE DEPUTY DIRECTOR IS IN THE UNCLASSIFIED SERVICE OF THE STATE
PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM.                           

10-104.

(b) Technical and professional employees are IN THE unclassified SERVICE
[employees] OF THE STATE PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM.

13-111.         

(d)     (2) (I) [The] EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN SUBPARAGRAPH (II) OF THIS
PARAGRAPH OR OTHERWISE BY LAW, THE Authority shall appoint and remove all
personnel [, except for the executive director,] in accordance with the PROVISIONS OF
the [State Merit System Law] STATE PERSONNEL ARTICLE THAT GOVERN
CLASSIFIED SERVICE EMPLOYEES.

(II) THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR IS IN THE UNCLASSIFIED SERVICE
OF THE STATE PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM.
