Former Art. 64A, § 3(11), which excluded from the classified service State Aviation
Administration and toll facilities police forces, is revised in TR §§ 4-208 and 5-212.

Former Art. 64A, § 3(12), which excluded from the classified service members of
the Baltimore City police force and employees of the Police Commissioner and the Board
of Police Examiners of Baltimore City, is transferred to § 16-10 of the Public Local Laws
of Baltimore City.

Former Art. 64A, § 3(14), as it excluded from the classified service librarians and
registrars with faculty rank and the Vice President for Finance and Management at
Morgan State University, is revised in ED § 14-104.

Former Art. 64A, § 3(15), which excluded from the classified service all teachers,
principals, directors of education, and supervisors of vocational education at institutions
managed by the Department of Juvenile Services, is revised in Art. 83C, § 2-103.

Former Art. 64A, § 3(17), which excluded from the classified service any State
employee with an annual salary of $650 or less, is deleted as an anachronism.

Former Art. 64A, § 3(18), which excluded from the classified service administrative
law judges, is deleted as unnecessary in light of SG § 9-1605 to the same effect.

Former Art. 64A, § 3(19), which excluded from the classified service officers and
faculty of the Baltimore City Community College and registrars and librarians with faculty
rank, is revised in ED § 16-609.

Former Art. 64A, § 4(1), which excluded from the classified service all employees of
the State Board of Cosmetologists except for the principal clerk, senior stenographer, and
two clerks, is deleted as obsolete because those functions are provided by employees of
the Department of Licensing and Regulation. For a discussion of the Board's employees,
see Revisor's Note to BOP § 5-204.

Former Art. 64A, § 4(2), which excluded from the classified service the credential
secretary and statistician in the Department of Education, is revised in ED § 2-105.

Former Art. 64A, § 4(4), which excluded from the classified service physicians in the
Insurance Division of the Department of Licensing and Regulation (formerly the State
Insurance Department), is deleted as obsolete because the Insurance Division no longer
employs staff physicians.

Former Art. 64A, § 4(9), which excluded from the classified service the employees
of the State Roads Commission who were taken into the merit system by executive order
in 1939, including certain specific positions, is deleted as obsolete. The Commission,
which is now a unit in the State Highway Administration of the Department of
Transportation, no longer has those positions.

Former Art. 64A, § 4(10), which excluded from the classified service the State
Supervisor of Assessments and assistant supervisors, is revised in TP § 2-104.

Former Art. 64A, § 4(11), which excluded from the classified service health officers,
is deleted as unnecessary in light of HG § 3-304(b) to the same effect.
