indicate satisfactory and excellent levels of
drop out prevention, attendance and student
achievement;
(2) A definition of drop out that includes
students who do not return to school because
they have been incarcerated for a criminal
offense; and,
(3) A means to measure State and local
program outcomes and determine
effectiveness.
The department shall report back to the budget
committees by September 15, 1993 with an
evaluation plan and a status report on what it
has done and intends to do to improve
program effectiveness in both middle schools
and high schools.
36.01.02.07 Students With Disabilities
General Fund Appropriation, provided that
$1,355,000 of the funds herein appropriated
are contingent upon enactment of S.B. 789
and may be used only to fund the cost of
employing correctional educators which
provide services referred to in Title 22,
Subtitle 1 of the Education "Article on a
12-month per year basis. It is the intent of
the General Assembly that these funds be
transferred by budget amendment to
program 36.01.01.15 or be reduced from the
