Charter Amendment - Pension Benefits
A RESOLUTION for the purpose of proposing an amendment to the Charter of Anne
Arundel County to require the County Council to establish pension benefits for
County employees who are in the classified service and are not covered by the
Maryland State Retirement and Pensions Systems; to authorize the County Council
to establish pension benefits for any or all County employees who are not in the
classified service and are not covered by the Maryland State Retirement and
Pensions Systems; and to require that pension plans be funded.

Charter Amendment - Ethics Commission and Ethics Law
A RESOLUTION for the purpose of proposing an amendment to the County Charter to
create an independent Anne Arundel County Public Ethics Commission; provide
for certain staff for the Commission; give the Commission and its staff certain
authority, duties and functions; require a comprehensive Anne Arundel County
Public Ethics Law that meets certain requirements; remove from the Charter those
ethics provisions required to be in the County Public Ethics Law; place the Ethics
Commission staff in the exempt service; provide for the transition of the
administration of the Public Ethics Law; and generally relating to the creation and
functioning of a County Ethics Commission and a comprehensive Public Ethics law.
[Repealing Article X, §§ 1001, 1002, and 1002A of the Anne Arundel County Charter.

Charter Amendment - Conflicting Amendments
A RESOLUTION for the purpose of proposing an amendment to the Charter of Anne
Arundel County to provide that if the voters, at the November 3, 1992, election or
at any election thereafter, approve charter amendments containing provisions so
inconsistent that only one can be given effect, only the amendment that receives the
higher number of favorable votes will take effect and amend the Charter.
