CHARTER AMENDMENT RESOLUTION NO. 92-1

A RESOLUTION TO AMEND SECTION C-4 OF THE CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF RISING
SUN SO AS TO EXPAND THE TIME BEFORE ELECTIONS WHEN VOTER REGISTRATION
BOOKS SHALL BE CLOSED, TO PERMIT QUALIFIED RESIDENTS WHO ARE
REGISTERED TO VOTE IN COUNTY ELECTIONS TO ALSO VOTE IN TOWN ELECTIONS,
TO ALLOW ABSENTEE BALLOTS TO BE CAST UP THROUGH ELECTION DAY, AND TO
GENERALLY CONFORM SECTION C-4 TO ARTICLE THIRTY-THREE OF THE CODE OF
MARYLAND.

repealed and reenacted, with amendments.

CHARTER AMENDMENT RESOLUTION NO. 93-1

A RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF RISING SUN BY MAKING
CERTAIN AMENDMENTS TO SECTION C-5 CONCERNING QUALIFICATIONS AND
NOMINATIONS FOR MAYOR AND COMMISSIONER OF THE TOWN OF RISING SUN, AND
REDUCING THE TERMS OF OFFICE FROM FOUR (4) YEARS TO TWO (2) YEARS, AND BY
AMENDING SECTION C-8 TO FURTHER CLARIFY REASONS FOR REMOVAL FROM
OFFICE.
