[(a)]The demonstration projects authorized under this subtitle shall terminate on
June 30, [1993] 1995 1997.

[(b) The Department shall report to the General Assembly, in accordance with §
2-1312 of the State Government Article, on or before November 30, 1990, on its
recommendations for providing operating assistance grants or operating support to
nonprofit organizations that use or assist individuals that use programs authorized under
this title.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1993.

Department of Housing and Community Development - Settlement Expense Loan

Program

FOR the purpose of repealing the termination date for appropriations to the Department
of Housing and Community Development's Settlement Expense Loan Program; and
generally relating to the Settlement Expense Loan Program.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 83B - Department of Housing and Community Development

2-1006.

(a) The Program shall be operated with moneys in the Homeownership Programs
Fund, which Fund shall be a continuing, nonlapsing fund consisting of:

(1) Moneys appropriated by the State for homeownership programs,
including the Maryland Home Financing Program authorized by Subtitle 6 of this title
and the Settlement Expense Loan Program authorized by this subtitle;
