AN ACT adopting the 1987 BOCA Basic Building Code (with
local amendments), the 1987 BOCA Basic National Mechanical Code,
and the 1986 CABO One and Two Family Dwelling Code (with local
amendments) as the Building Code for Howard County.

Effective Date January 9, 1989.

AN ACT amending Section 16.108 "Definitions" and Subtitle 7
"Floodplain District" of Title 16 "Planning, Zoning, Subdivision,
etc) of the Howard County Code to add definitions, delete
existing subdistricts, impose restrictions upon development in
the floodplain and the wetland floodplain, designate official
maps, add enforcement provisions, and clarify language.
