AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. R-50-85 WHICH ENLARGED THE

CORPORATE BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF BOWIE BY

ANNEXING LAND CONTIGUOUS AND ADJOINING THE EXISTING

CORPORATE AREA (UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND SCIENCE AND

TECHNOLOGY CENTER) PROVIDING FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE

ANNEXATION AGREEMENT

RESOLUTION 89-1

WHEREAS, the Town of Brentwood currently maintains a Ward
system of representation, with one (1) Councilmember serving on
the Council from each of four (4) Wards; and

WHEREAS, at-large representation would better serve the
residents of the Town, by facilitating the universal registration
process, and by creating a Council with four (4) Councilmembers,
who would each serve the entire Town; and
