Constitution of the State of Maryland and Article 23A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1981 edition, as amended), title:
"Corporations-Municipal," to repeal and re-enact the Charter of
said Town of Boonsboro as set forth in Section 3-1 through 3-110
inclusive, of Chapter 3 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Washington County (Everstine's 1970 Edition), title "Municipal
Charter of Boonsboro," the said Sections being the Charter of the
Town of Boonsboro.
[Sections 3-1 through 3-110 of the Charter of the Town of
Boonsboro, Washington County, as found in the compilation of
Municipal Charters of Maryland (1983 Edition), repealed.
Sections 101 through 1206 of the Charter of the Town of
Boonsboro, Washington County, as found in the compilation of
Municipal Charters of Maryland (1983 Edition), added.

CHARTER AMENDMENT RESOLUTION NO. 1
A RESOLUTION of the Council of the City of Bowie, Maryland
to initiate an amendment to Section 95 of the Charter of the City
of Bowie pursuant to the authority granted by Article HE of the
Constitution of Maryland and Sections 12 and 13 of Article 23A,
Annotated Code of Maryland, (1987 Rep. Vol.).
For the purpose of altering the maximum misdemeanor penalty
and clarifying appeal rights by repealing and reenacting with
amendments Section 95, "Violations as a misdemeanor; penalty",
of the Charter of the City of Bowie, to increase the maximum
penalty for conviction of those offenses declared by law to be
misdemeanors from the present amount of One Hundred Dollars
($100.00) to One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00), the maximum
monetary penalty authorized by Article 23A, Section 3, Annotated
Code of Maryland, (1987 Repl. Vol.), or a greater amount, if
otherwise provided by State law.
