applicants who qualify to be apprentice pilots.

11-303. QUALIFICATIONS OF APPLICANTS FOR APPRENTICESHIP.

(A)   IN GENERAL.

TO BE INCLUDED ON THE LIST OF APPLICANTS WHO QUALIFY TO BE
APPRENTICE PILOTS, AN APPLICANT SHALL BE AN INDIVIDUAL WHO MEETS
THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SECTION.

(B)  EXAMINATION.

THE APPLICANT SHALL PASS ANY MENTAL OR PHYSICAL EXAMINATION
THAT THE BOARD REQUIRES TO VERIFY THAT THE APPLICANT IS MENTALLY
OR PHYSICALLY CAPABLE OF PROVIDING PILOTAGE.

(C)  ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS.

THE APPLICANT SHALL MEET ANY OTHER REQUIREMENTS THAT THE
BOARD ESTABLISHES.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) of this section is standard
language added to introduce the basic requirements for
an applicant for appointment as an apprentice pilot.

Subsections (b) and (c) of this section are new
language derived without substantive change from
former Art. 74, § 2(b), as that subsection related to
qualifications.

In subsection (b) of this section, the reference to an
examination "to verify that the applicant is mentally
or physically capable of providing pilotage" is added
to clarify the former, vague language a "mental and
physical examination".

11-304. APPLICATIONS FOR APPRENTICESHIP.

AN APPLICANT FOR APPOINTMENT AS AN APPRENTICE PILOT SHALL:

(1)  SUBMIT TO THE BOARD AN APPLICATION ON THE FORM
THAT THE BOARD PROVIDES; AND

(2)  PAY TO THE BOARD AN APPLICATION FEE SET BY THE
BOARD.
