SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 29 - Washington Suburban Sanitary District

11-113.

(a)   [The] SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF § 11-113.1 OF THIS
SUBTITLE, THE WSSC may formulate and adopt a pension or
retirement plan for its employees.

(b)  (1) The WSSC may:

(i) Contract with any established insurance
company for a group, annuity, retirement, or pension plan; and

(ii) Contribute to the plan as the WSSC
considers equitable or as required under any contract.

(2) This contribution or payment shall be charged as
expenses of the several functions of the WSSC in the same

date; providing for exceptions for certain investments in
certain commingled funds or in certain companies agreeing to
abide by certain principles; providing for suspension of the
prohibition and divestment program and extension of the date
by which divestment must be completed under certain
circumstances; requiring the Commission to make certain
reports to the Governor, the Legislative Policy Committee,
the Prince George's County and Montgomery County
Delegations, and the Prince George's County and Montgomery
County Executives; and generally relating to the divestment
of the Commission's pension or retirement funds invested and
a prohibition on the investment of the Commission's pension
or retirement funds in certain companies doing business in
South Africa.
