EACH MEMBER OF THE COUNTY BOARD IS ENTITLED TO:
(1) A SALARY OF $3,600 PER YEAR; AND
(2) REIMBURSEMENT NOT EXCEEDING $400 A YEAR FOR
TRAVEL AND OTHER EXPENSES, INCLUDING TRAVEL EXPENSES TO AND FROM
BOARD MEETINGS HELD IN THE COUNTY AT THE RATE GARRETT COUNTY PAYS
FOR MILEAGE.
Article - Estates and Trusts
2-101.
In the estates of decedents law, the word court means the
orphans' court in a county, or the court exercising the
jurisdiction of the orphans' court in a county.
2-108.
(m) Each of the judges of the court for Garrett County
shall receive annual compensation in the amount of [$600] $1,200.
Each judge shall be reimbursed for traveling to and from the
sessions of the court at the rate Garrett County pays for
mileage. Each judge shall also receive $25 for expenses for
every day's attendance upon the sessions of the court.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the salary of
the State's Attorney for Garrett County specified in Chapter 57
of 1981 shall remain in effect for the remainder of the current
term.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the salaries of
the County Commissioners, the County Treasurer, the judges of the
Orphans' Court, the members of the Board of Education, the
Sheriff, and the substitute members of the Board of Supervisors
of Elections of Garrett County specified in Chapter 443 of 1985
shall remain in effect for the remainder of the current term.
SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to
Article III, Section 35 of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act
may not be construed to extend or apply to the salary or
compensation of the County Commissioners of Garrett County, the
County Treasurer, the judges of the Orphans' Court, the members
of the Board of Education, the Sheriff, the State's Attorney and
the substitute members of the Board of Supervisors of Elections
