WILLIAM DONALD SCHAEFER, Governor Ch. 708

A.  10 years law enforcement experience in
a federal, State, or county law enforcement agency; or

B.   5 years law enforcement experience in
a federal, State, or county law enforcement agency and an
associate of arts or bachelor of arts degree in police science or
criminology from an accredited institution of higher education;

5.  Has the power to arrest persons
committing offenses or crimes in Garrett County;

6.  May exercise the general powers of a
peace officer in Garrett County and may wear an appropriate
metallic badge as prescribed by the State's Attorney; and

7.  May possess and carry firearms or
other weapons as required by the State's Attorney.

(iii) Information obtained by a State's
Attorney's investigator, as a result of any investigation, shall
be kept confidential, and may not be divulged except under order
by a court of record of this State, or for the proper
administration of justice.

(iv) The requirements of Article 41, Section
4-201 of the Code relating to the Police Training Commission
apply to the position of State's Attorney's investigator in
Garrett County.

Article 25 - County Commissioners

51.

(a) The county treasurers of the several counties of the
State shall receive annually the respective salaries herewith set
forth for performing the duties required of them by their
respective public local laws and by the public general laws of
the State:

(j) (1) The county treasurer of Garrett County [shall
receive an annual salary of $22,000.] IS ENTITLED TO A SALARY OF:

(I)  $24,000 FOR CALENDAR YEAR 1991;

(II)  $26,000 FOR CALENDAR YEAR 1992;

(III)  $28,000 FOR CALENDAR YEAR 1993; AND

(IV)  $30,000 FOR CALENDAR YEAR 1994 AND FOR
EACH SUBSEQUENT CALENDAR YEAR.

(2) Subject to the approval of the County
Commissioners, the county treasurer shall appoint a deputy
