LAWS OF MARYLAND
(1-1) In St. Mary's County [such a license may be issued to
a bona fide nonprofit organization or club composed solely of
members who served in the armed forces of the United States, in
any war in which the United States has engaged, which
organization or club operates solely for the use of its members
and their guests when accompanied by such members, provided such
club or organization meets in a clubhouse principally used for a
club, and is neither directly nor indirectly operated as a public
business. The fee for such license shall be two hundred and
fifty dollars ($250.00).]:
(1) THIS LICENSE MAY BE ISSUED TO A BONA FIDE
NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION OR CLUB:
(I) THAT IS COMPOSED SOLELY OF MEMBERS WHO HAVE
SERVED IN THE ARMED FORCES OF THE UNITED STATES IN ANY WAR IN
WHICH THE UNITED STATES HAS ENGAGED;
(II) THAT OPERATES SOLELY FOR THE USE OF:
1. ITS MEMBERS; AND
2. A MEMBER'S GUEST, PROVIDED THE GUEST
IS ACCOMPANIED BY THE MEMBER; AND
(III) IF THE CLUB OR ORGANIZATION MEETS IN A
CLUBHOUSE PRINCIPALLY USED FOR A CLUB AND IS NEITHER DIRECTLY NOR
INDIRECTLY OPERATED AS A PUBLIC BUSINESS.
(2) THE ANNUAL FEE IS $350.
21.
(a) A Class D beer, wine and liquor license shall be issued
by the clerk of the circuit court: of the county in which the
place of business is located. It authorizes the holder to keep
for sale and sell all alcoholic beverages at retail at the place
described in it, for consumption on the premises or elsewhere. A
license may not be issued for any drugstore. The annual fee for
the license is $500, except as hereinafter provided, and shall be
payed to the clerk before any license is issued, for distribution
as hereinafter provided.
(i) In St. Mary's County, the annual fee:
(1) [for] FOR a Class D beer, wine and liquor license
[shall be two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00),] IS $250; and
(2) [for] FOR a special Class D beer, wine and liquor
license [entitling] THAT ENTITLES the holder to sell on Sunday[,
four hundred dollars ($400.00)] IS $650.
