AN ACT concerning

Board of Community College Trustees for Baltimore County

FOR the purpose of altering the membership of the Board of
Community College Trustees for Baltimore County; and
providing for staggered terms for the new members.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 16-503

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Education

16-503.

The Board of Community College Trustees for Baltimore County
consists of [9] 13 11 members appointed by the Governor, with the
advice and consent of the Senate. Of the members:

(1)   [2] 6 4 serve at large; and

(2)  7 serve from the 7 legislative districts located
wholly within the boundaries of Baltimore County, 1 from each
district,

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the terms for
the new members will commence on July 1, 1989 and terms of the
new members shall expire as follows:

(1)   1 member in 1991; and

(2)  1 member in 1992.

SECTION 2 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1989.
