former Art. 56, § 495(d).

5-506. SCOPE OF BEAUTY SALON PERMITS.

(A)  IN GENERAL.

WHILE A BEAUTY SALON PERMIT IS IN EFFECT, IT AUTHORIZES THE
BEAUTY SALON PERMIT HOLDER:

(1)  TO OPERATE THE BEAUTY SALON; AND

(2)  IF THE PERMIT IS AN OWNER-MANAGER PERMIT, TO
OPERATE AND MANAGE THE BEAUTY SALON.

(B)  LIMITED PRACTICE BEAUTY SALON PERMIT.

WHILE A BEAUTY SALON PERMIT FOR THE LIMITED PRACTICE OF
COSMETOLOGY IS IN EFFECT, IT AUTHORIZES THE HOLDER TO OPERATE A
BEAUTY SALON ONLY FOR THE LIMITED PURPOSE FOR WHICH THE PERMIT IS
ISSUED.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is a standard provision added
for clarity.

5-507. TERM AND RENEWAL OF BEAUTY SALON PERMITS.

(A)  TERM OF PERMIT.

UNLESS A BEAUTY SALON PERMIT IS RENEWED FOR A 2-YEAR TERM AS
PROVIDED IN THIS SECTION, THE PERMIT EXPIRES ON THE FIRST OCTOBER
31 THAT COMES:

(1)  AFTER THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE PERMIT; AND

(2)  IN AN ODD-NUMBERED YEAR.

(B)  RENEWAL NOTICE.

AT LEAST 1 MONTH BEFORE A BEAUTY SALON PERMIT EXPIRES, THE
BOARD SHALL MAIL TO THE BEAUTY SALON PERMIT HOLDER, AT THE LAST
KNOWN ADDRESS OF THE HOLDER:

(1) A RENEWAL APPLICATION FORM; AND
