THE SECRETARY SHALL SUBMIT AN ANNUAL REPORT TO THE GOVERNOR
AND THE GOVERNOR'S EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING COUNCIL AND, SUBJECT
TO § 1-1312 § 2-1312 OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT ARTICLE, THE GENERAL
ASSEMBLY ON THE OPERATION AND PERFORMANCE OF THE PARTNERSHIP FOR
WORKFORCE QUALITY.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the terms of the
initial members of the Workforce Quality Advisory Board shall
expire as follows:
(1) 5 members in 1992;
(2) 5 members in 1991; and
(3) 5 members in 1990.
Thereafter, the terms of the members shall be staggered as
provided in this Act.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1989.

of 3 years and, at the end of June 30, 1992, and with no further
action required by the General Assembly, this Act shall be

AN ACT concerning
Firearms - Assault Weapons
FOR the purpose of prohibiting the sale, transfer, importation,
possession, or purchase of certain firearms designated as
assault weapons under certain circumstances; exempting
certain persons from prohibitions against the sale,
transfer, importation, possession, or purchase of assault
weapons; prescribing certain penalties for a violation of
this Act; requiring certain dealers to comply with certain
license, sales, and transfer requirements before the dealer
may sell or transfer an assault weapon; requiring the
