any quantity, at the place therein described, and to deliver the
same in a sealed package or container which package or container
may not be opened nor its contents consumed on the premises where
sold. The annual fee for this license is $500, except as
otherwise provided in this section, and in all cases the fee
shall be payable to the clerk before any such license is issued,
for distribution as hereinafter provided.

(b) A license may not be issued for any drugstore unless
the applicant has been doing business at the location applied
for, for at least one year prior to the date of the application
for the license, or unless the applicant is the assignee of a
business established for that length of time at the location
applied for, or unless the applicant has been actually engaged in
the retail drug business for a period of not less than three
years.

(k)(l) In Charles County, the annual license fee is [$300]
$400.

(2) IN CHARLES COUNTY, THIS LICENSE ALSO AUTHORIZES
THE HOLDER TO SERVE BEER, WINE, AND LIQUEUR LIQUOR FOR TASTING
AND SAMPLING PURPOSES IF:

(I)  THE TASTING OR SAMPLING IS HELD ON THE
LICENSED PREMISES; AND

(II)  THE HOLDER SERVES NOT MORE THAN 1 OUNCE
FROM EACH GIVEN BRAND OF BEER, WINE, OR LIQUEUR LIQUOR, IN A
CONTAINER THAT HOLDS NOT MORE THAN 4 OUNCES, TO ANY ONE PERSON.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1989.
