In subsections (b)(2) and (c)(4)(ii)2 and (iii) of
this section, the words "completed successfully" are
added to state expressly that which only was implied
in the former law -- i.e., the required level of
education must be evidenced by successful completion
of a certain program..

In subsection (b)(2) of this section, the reference to
a "part-time equivalent" is added to conform to the
practice of the Board. See § 5-513(c)(3) of this
title.

In subsection (c)(4)(i)2 of this section, the phrases
"under the supervision of a licensed teacher" are
added for clarity.

5-308. SAME -- LICENSE TO TEACH LIMITED PRACTICE.

(A)  IN GENERAL.

TO QUALIFY FOR A LICENSE TO TEACH COSMETOLOGY LIMITED TO
PROVIDING ESTHETIC SERVICES, MANICURING SERVICES, OR WIG STYLING
SERVICES, THE APPLICANT SHALL BE AN INDIVIDUAL WHO MEETS THE
REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SECTION.

(B)  ESTHETIC SERVICES.

AN APPLICANT FOR A LICENSE TO TEACH COSMETOLOGY LIMITED TO
PROVIDING ESTHETIC SERVICES SHALL:

(1)  BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD;

(2)  BE A HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE OR THE EQUIVALENT;

(3)  MEET THE TRAINING REQUIREMENTS THAT THE BOARD
SETS, BY REGULATION; AND

(4)  HAVE BEEN LICENSED FOR AT LEAST 2 YEARS TO
PROVIDE ESTHETIC SERVICES.

(C)  MANICURING SERVICES.

AN APPLICANT FOR A LICENSE TO TEACH COSMETOLOGY LIMITED TO
PROVIDING MANICURING SERVICES SHALL:

(1)  BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD;

(2)  BE A HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE OR THE EQUIVALENT;
