LAWS OF MARYLAND

A.  (1) The Commissioners shall meet for the transaction of
business:

(i) On Tuesday and Wednesday of each week,
excluding legal holidays;

(ii) At a public place designated for its
meetings;

(iii) Provided public notice of the change is
given at least 7 days prior to a meeting in at least 2 newspapers
of general circulation in the county, on any other day that the
PRESIDENT OF THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OR A MAJORITY OF THE County
Commissioners determine.

(2)  The County Commissioners may conduct an emergency
closed meeting as authorized under § 10-508 of the State
Government Article.

(3)  Notwithstanding paragraphs (1) or (2) of this
subsection, the County Commissioners may cancel meetings because
of:

(i) Illness;

(ii) Vacations; or

(iii) Any other reasonable cause.

(4)  The County Commissioners shall give notice, in
accordance with § 10-506 of the State Government Article, of:

(i) The day, place, and time that the County
Commissioners meet; and

(ii) The cancellation of scheduled meetings.

B.  The salary of the President of the [Charles] County
Commissioners [shall be as follows] IS:

(1)   [Twenty-eight thousand dollars ($28,000.) per
year] $32,500 for the calendar year [1987.] 1991;

(2)   [Twenty-nine thousand dollars ($29,000) per year]
$34,000 for the calendar year [1988.] 1992;

(3)   [Thirty thousand dollars ($30,000.) per year]
$35,500 for the calendar year [1989.] 1993; AND

(4)   [Thirty-one thousand dollars ($31,000) per year]
$37,000 for the calendar year [1990] 1994.
