LAWS OF MARYLAND

(I)  THE DATE ON WHICH THE CURRENT JOURNEY
BARBER LICENSE EXPIRES;

(II)  THE DATE BY WHICH THE BOARD MUST RECEIVE
THE RENEWAL APPLICATION FOR THE RENEWAL TO BE ISSUED AND MAILED
BEFORE THE LICENSE EXPIRES; AND

(III)  THE AMOUNT OF THE RENEWAL FEE.

(D)  APPLICATIONS FOR RENEWAL.

BEFORE A JOURNEY BARBER LICENSE EXPIRES, THE LICENSEE
PERIODICALLY MAY RENEW IT FOR AN ADDITIONAL 2-YEAR TERM, IF THE
LICENSEE:

(1)  OTHERWISE IS ENTITLED TO BE LICENSED;

(2)  PAYS TO THE BOARD A RENEWAL FEE OF $20; AND

(3)  SUBMITS TO THE BOARD A RENEWAL APPLICATION ON THE
FORM THAT THE BOARD PROVIDES.

(E)   ISSUANCE OF RENEWAL.

THE BOARD SHALL RENEW THE JOURNEY BARBER LICENSE OF AND
ISSUE A RENEWAL CERTIFICATE TO EACH JOURNEY BARBER WHO MEETS THE
REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SECTION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsections (a), (b)(2), and (d)(2) of this
section are new language derived without substantive
change from former Art. 56, § 432(b) and the first
sentence of § 439(d) and the reference to biennial
renewal in (a)(4).

Subsection (b)(1) of this section is new language
added to clarify the duration of the term of the first
renewal of a journey barber license. This addition is
based on the practice of the Board.

Subsection (c) of this section is new     language added.

to conform to current practice of   the Board and to

similar provisions governing other     State-regulated
business occupations.

Subsection (d)(1) of this section is standard language
added for clarity.

Subsection (d)(3) of this section is standard language
added to state expressly that which only was implied
in the former law -- i.e., renewal applications may be
made only on the form that the Board provides.
